At e-log Systems™ Pty Ltd we have developed, and patented1, the concept for a mobile phone application that will transform the way both new drivers and eventually government authorities, track the learners’ driving practice.

We call it the LDR™ - Learner Driver Recorder - a downloadable mobile phone application that enables the learners’ driving hours to be easily tracked, evaluated, authorised and driving skills improved.

LDR™ is a fantastic concept.

It will ensure more accurate recording of driver training hours, and provide an evaluative analysis in relation to areas for improvement, thus helping to reduce deaths and injuries caused by car accidents and the ongoing pain and suffering these accidents bring about in surviving victims, families and friends.

The environment we live in today is moving more and more into a technological one, so it is definitely time for our government authorities and the old logbook system to move into the 21st century and keep up with the “Gen Y’s and Z’s”…

What is LDR™ ?

LDR™ is an exclusive Learner Driver Recorder tool, with its very own Certified Australian Innovation Patent, designed to enable Learner Permit holders have all their driving time accurately, efficiently and simply, logged and session authorised with a digital signature on the device.

LDR™ is easy to use.
How many short trips have you taken but not logged?
Now with three easy clicks you are on your way.

Once you download LDR™ and register your details, the steps before you commence each subsequent driving session are very simple.

• Go to the “Record Trip” tab:
• Your devices' inbuilt GPS will find your starting location
• Select your Car and Supervisor, but only if you want to change the default data
• Confirm or input odometer reading
• Click on "Start Your Trip"
• Click on "Stop Recording"
• Your devices' inbuilt GPS will find your finishing location
• Confirm or input odometer reading & Choose your traffic conditions
• Supervisor signs off the session on the device
• Click on "Submit to your log"

Why use the LDR™ App ?

LDR™ has been specifically designed to ensure that all your current log book requirements are catered for, even the signature of the supervisor.
LDR™ will ensure more accurate recording of learner driving hours and provide an evaluative analysis in relation to areas for improvement.
All driving sessions are submitted to your devices’ database, and when you are ready to upload to the website, all your driving sessions will be saved onto a secure web server that is backed up on a daily basis.
Simply log onto the website www.ldr.com.au with your own personal login/password, and go to “Your Logs” to view your driving sessions and print off in exactly the same format applicable to your state.
Looking at “Maps” on the website will show multiple driving sessions for a specified date period on a map overlay, allowing you to easily see where you have mostly driven and where else you need to drive.
And the Leader Board allows you to invite friends that are using LDR™, to see and compare progress.

LDR™ 2 will improve the efficiency, accuracy and collection of time driven, and ultimately the driving ability of the Learner Driver.

Be responsible….

Strict laws are in place in relation to mobile phone usage whilst driving.
Just as you would not complete a manual log book whilst driving, please also do not handle your mobile phone whilst driving.

Please ensure you:
place your device on "silent" mode,
2. hand your device to your supervisor for safe-keeping once you click the "Start Your Trip" function and prior to commencing your driving session.

Who is e-log Systems™ Pty Ltd ?

e-log Systems™ Pty Ltd is an Australian owned company (ACN: 149 386 229), founded in 2011.

Conceptually our ideas started in 2010, when for the first time our CEO was exposed to the out-dated, paper, manual learner log-book system that his 16 year old daughter was required to use.

“There simply must be a better way to log and authorise driving hours”……and from that came the idea to create a “Recording, Tracking and Evaluating Apparatus and Method”…which resulted in the granting of a Certified Australian Innovation Patent.

From this patent we created our very first product the LDR™ application.
